Patricia Lait: Author, Speaker, Overseer of Church Enhancement and Recovering Sinner
Patricia Lait grew up in a Christian home and gave her life to Christ at the age of 12. As a teen she actively served in her Sunday School class, Youth Group, and Church Choir. She began writing poetry, songs, and modern day parables in 1994 after asking God for a “creative way to express herself”. She shared her writings with family and friends at her church, where she taught a Bible class for women. Encouraged by their responses to her newfound gift, she continued journaling. Then, in the summer of 1999, after being “promoted” to teach fourth grade Sunday School, she began writing skits for the Children’s and Missions Programs. After the birth of her third daughter in 2002, Patricia transferred to the Preschool Ministry, and soon after joined the Church Staff to co-create, and later direct, a Worship Program for K3-K5. This led to the leadership of a Puppet Ministry, where she learned puppetry with the teens, and fell in love with their eagerness to serve Christ despite the many obstacles they faced and feared day after day.
As a Co-founder of So What! Ministries, Patricia continues her commitment to use her talents and abilities for God, no matter where He may lead. For now she makes her home in Garner, North Carolina, with her husband and their three daughters.
Gail Alston: Speaker, Overseer of Local Ministries and Recovering Sinner
Gail Alston is our 1-on-1 counselor, prayer warrior and as the Director of Local Ministries she is in charge of taking care of those who need help taking care of themselves, either mentally, spiritually or physically; however, it wasn't always this way. 14 years ago, she WAS a practicing Jehovah's Witness who loved God but wanted more. She prayed and prayed to God for the right direction in her life, and He sent a man named James to bring her to TRUE salvation and the Savior who is Jesus Christ. There was a time in her life that God allowed the devil to literally put Gail on her back. She was down mentally, physically and spiritually but not out. It was then she realized, SO WHAT! The only thing I have to do is please God and the rest will follow. It did and ever since then she has jumped wholeheartedly into ministry service and as a real prayer warrior, she has been the backbone of this and many other ministries. Gail is pleased to say that as a So What! Ministries Co- Founder she looks forward to serving God with you. At present she makes her home in Raleigh, North Carolina with her three children. Dana Cashwell: Author, Speaker, Overseer of Worship and Recovering Sinner
Dana Cashwell is, by her own admission, completely insane but don't let her husband Travis know she said it; he hates when she does. She accepted Christ as her Savior overseas while her father was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, for the Army at the age of four. Since then, she has done her best to serve God in all she does because she is definitely in the Lord's Army. She didn't start seriously writing until 2005 when she volunteered to help create a preschool worship program for children K3-K5 where she evolved into a Worship Leader and Speaker for more than just the preschoolers. She started to make a difference with the teenage volunteers and even the adults. In February 2006, an incident at her previous church made her angry, but a good angry; that's when she left institutionalized church. Completely determined to "let the dead bury the dead", she and some friends founded So What! Ministries. As a Co-Founder of So What! Ministries, Dana is committed to upholding our core values while legitimizing those who have been disempowered by traditional churches. She currently makes her home in Angier, North Carolina, with her husband Travis and their 3 children. When she was just 7 years old Audrey Lait prayed the sinner's prayer and accepted Jesus as her Savior following an Upward Basketball Worship Rally and Awards Ceremony. She became interested in Foreign Ministries in 2006, when she received a card for Christmas, explaining that a Bible had been given to a Chinese teen in her name. Moved by this thoughtful and humbling present, she became passionate about helping missionaries all over the world who give their lives as martyrs daily. Audrey oversees fundraisers and service projects to benefit Voice Of The Martyrs, an organization that So What! Ministries proudly supports. Emily Lait: Overseer of Internet Ministries and Recovering Sinner
