Could you be good enough? Have you ever been told you can’t do something for God because of your lack of education, your sex, your finances, your lifestyle choices, your age, your appearance, even your marital staus? Would you tell people what Jesus has done for you?
If you can answer yes to even one of those questions, we want you to know that we have been there; some of us are still there. Those questions are in fact the reason we’re here. The point is we did what God wanted us to do and so should you.
Tell those people: So What!
God gave me this vision and I’m going to run with it! God doesn’t call the equipped. He equips the ones He calls! I’m going to change the status quo and shake things up! I want more Jesus, so I’m getting more! Being a Christ follower is the hardest thing to do. If I’m comfortable, I’m doing it wrong. There are enough fake people and places in this world so I’m destroying my masks. I’m going to be real in everything. I’m going to ask for help from people when I need it; remember all of us have problems.
People thought Jesus was nuts. If people think I’m even a little bit crazy like He was then I’m doing something right. Jesus was an apostate and heretic during His time on earth. Why shouldn’t I be? It’s OK to be in a different place in your life spiritually than I am. I don’t care what Oprah, Dr. Phil, or even Billy Graham says about the Bible. I won’t believe it until I read it in the Bible for myself. All have sinned but Christ forgives all. What you call weakness, God calls greatness. My testimony may not be life changing to you but to the one who needs to hear it, it changes everything.
What’s the point of all this? We are here to encourage you to take that step of faith and jump in with both feet. Go ahead get in over your head; when you do, something amazing will happen! The One who picks you up walked on water to get there.
